Announcing our new exciting music program, SINGABILITY for adults with disabilities.
SingAbility provides an uplifting, empowering musical experience to people of all ages and levels of disability.
SingAbility is led by Peter Muir, Ph.D. Peter is an internationally renowned performer and educator who has been running music programs for people with disabilities for more than 30 years.
The program meets in-person, once a month on a Sunday afternoon in Katonah, NY. First date: October 23, 2:30-3:30pm.
WHO CAN JOIN?
Any adult (16 and up) with any kind of disability, regardless of musical skills or experience.
You do not need to know how to read music!
You do not need to sing on key
YOU JUST NEED TO LOVE TO MAKE MUSIC!!
We sing a wide variety of songs from Tin Pan Alley, Broadway, folk, 1960s, as well as special healing songs. Much of the repertoire is familiar, and all of it is easy to learn and satisfying to sing. For those that wish, we provide easy-to-read word sheets of all material, and there is a new song most weeks.
Given the current situation with Covid, we encourage the wearing of masks and social distancing during sessions.
One Sunday every month, 2:30-3:30pm.
United Methodist Church, 5 Bedford Rd, Katonah, NY 10536.
